Dear Intuitive,

There are moments when the world outside trigger inner storms. Last month, I found myself uncomfortably close to a political conflict zone.
Not metaphorically. Literally.

For several days, everything felt uncertain. Unstable. Unsafe.
There was a low hum of panic in the air—and I felt it, deeply.

More than anything, I worried about my cats.

Some of you know—Sir Timothy, the cat who adopted me, is an energy barometer.
He reads the field around him far quicker than I do. And sometimes, that comes at a cost to his health.

So, I leaned into what I’ve learned over the years:
To ground myself.
To center my energy.
To become a calm and stable presence—so that my cats didn’t have to carry the charge I was holding.

The outer chaos passed.
But it left behind an inner wave of reflection.
What was being shown to me? What was I being asked to heal?

I went inward. I processed. I did the shadow work.
And I wrote about the experience here, in case you’re curious:
👉Read my reflection on shadow work

What emerged most clearly was this:
The world needs more harmony.
And that harmony must begin within us.

But for today, let’s bring the conversation closer to home.
To the place where many of us feel daily ripples of imbalance and dissonance.

What Does Real Harmony Look Like in a Multi-Animal Home?

You don’t need the news outside your window to feel the tension.
Sometimes, conflict is pacing on four legs right in your living room.
Sometimes, it’s that pit in your stomach every time two animals cross paths.

So I ask you gently:

Where are you on the harmony scale?

🔹 Total harmony: Everyone coexists peacefully
🔸 Subtle stress: A few moments of tension or unease
⚠️ Storm brewing: Avoidance, aggression, or territorial behaviors
🔥 Open conflict: Hissing, swatting, or constant tension

Wherever you land, know that awareness is the first step toward healing.

Let’s take the next step by exploring what disrupts the peace—and how to lovingly bring it back.

What Throws Off the Energy in Multi-Animal Homes?

Harmony is delicate.
Here are a few common dynamics that often tip it off-center:

  • Have you recently welcomed a new animal—or even a human—into your home?
Even joyful change can create energetic ripples that unsettle the group.
  • Have your routines shifted lately? Visitors, travel, time changes?
Animals thrive on predictability. Sudden changes can send them into emotional overdrive.
  • Is one of your animals unwell, aging, or recovering?
The unspoken tension of caregiving can shift the whole pack’s equilibrium.
  • How have you been, really?
Emotional turbulence, stress, or grief in your own life can leak into the field—your animals often feel it before you do.
  • Is there subtle resource guarding, sibling rivalry, or competition for your attention?
It may look minor, but energetically, these micro-conflicts can build up pressure over time.

Whispers Before the Storm: Subtle Signs Your Animals Are Struggling

Our cats and dogs don't always yell (well, not always...almost..).
They talk to us—with body language, behavior, and subtle emotional shifts.

1️⃣ Has one of your animals become more withdrawn or clingy?
What if that’s not just moodiness, but a coping mechanism?.

2️⃣ Are you seeing over-grooming, spraying, or changes in where they sleep or eat?
These are not just quirks—they’re stress signals, plain and simple.

3️⃣ Do your animals suddenly avoid each other? Give wide berths?
Subtle avoidance often precedes open conflict.

4️⃣ Are mealtimes more tense, or has one become more territorial over favorite spots?
Territorial behavior isn’t always about space—it’s about emotional safety.

Don’t overlook these early signs. They’re invitations to listen more deeply.

Tools for Deep Repair: How to Restore Peace and Safety in Your Home

These approaches are rooted in my cat-centric research but can be adapted for dogs and other animal companions with a bit of intuitive tuning.

🧠 Ask: What’s Behind This Behavior?

Behavior is often communication, not defiance. A cat that seems like a bully might actually be scared or insecure. When we dig deeper—through observation or communication—we uncover root causes and can respond with compassion, not correction.

🥣 Abundance Ends the Scarcity Struggle

Conflict often arises from a perceived lack—of food, space, attention, or safety. Create an environment rich in resources: multiple feeding areas, hiding spots, litter trays, and resting zones. Harmony thrives where scarcity disappears.

🧸 Use Play as Medicine

Play isn’t just fun—it’s medicine. Tailor play to each animal’s personality and energy levels. It releases tension, builds trust, and lets you better understand your animal’s needs and preferences.

🧘 Be the Emotional Thermostat, Not the Thermometer

Your animals tune into your emotional state. If you’re grounded, clear, and calm, they feel it. Commit to daily self-regulation practices—like breathwork, journaling, or simply pausing. Your inner peace sets the tone for outer harmony.

You Don’t Have to Hold It All: When It’s Time to Ask for Help

If you’ve been silently hoping the tension will resolve on its own—please know this:

It’s okay to need support.
And it’s okay to prioritize the emotional well-being of your animals and yourself.

When you live in a state of subtle stress, your nervous system starts to normalize it.
But your animals don’t forget. They internalize it.

If you’ve seen tension rising—or peace slipping—this may be the moment to intervene with love.

And here's a Gift for YOU!
